U.S. Passport Fees for 2016

U.S. Passport Fees for 2016The U.S. passport fees for 2016 have not changed much from 2015. There have been some major changes in the types of passports offered, specifically regarding adding passport pages. American citizens that need additional passport pages for visas are no longer able to apply for more passport pages in 2016. All passports that need more pages must now apply for a passport renewal. The U.S. Department of State will no longer add passport pages in 2016. All passports issued in 2016 will be the larger 52-page passport book so hopefully this issue won’t impact many travelers moving forward.

The passport fees for American citizens are based on the type of passport you need and the processing speed that you need your passport. The United States Passport Fees for 2016 are outlined below. The U.S. Passport Fees for 2016 can also be verified on the U.S. Department of State website.

The acceptance agent is required for all passport applications with the sole exception for adult passport renewals, name change, and second duplicate passport applications.
